DEADSIDE Console 1.4 - New High Intensity Island Map

Update 1.4 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X on April 24th, at 11AM CEST / 4AM CDT!


Version 1.4 introduces Deadside's second map, created specifically for intense PvPvE battles with high player density. Expect to see a new desert biome, new POIs, a unique map flow, and giant chaotic fights!


This update comes with other cool features like the ability to shoot and reload mid-air, and apply your DLC skins to a handful of new weapons. And of course this version also comes with a bunch of bug fixes, due in part to the great feedback from our community. It really helps us identify and fix bugs, so keep it coming! New Features & Changes:

  • Added the ability to shoot and reload while jumping

  • Added the ability to apply skins to: MG-36, SKAR, RPK-mod, Mosin, MR5, NK417

  • Added more rag spawns into the world

  • Reduced the amount of ropes required to upgrade some structures to log tier

    • Normal & Triangle Log Foundations - Now requires one rope

    • Log Walls - Now requires one rope

  • Enhanced visual fidelity at 2560x1440p resolution

  • Refined aim assist behavior for improved balance


Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented a player to “drag and drop” a weapon into an empty inventory slot

  • Fixed a bug that caused base modules with 100% to lose an incorrect number of durability points when disassembled with a hammer

  • Fixed a bug causing a player to not hear other players jumping

  • Fixed various graphics and level design bugs

  • Fixed a bug that caused the barbed wire barricade to be un-placeable on the ground

  • Fixed a bug that caused incorrect death/kill information to be displayed in game chat (including kill information on PvE servers).

  • Fixed displaced positions of Helicrash and Wandering Merchant

  • Fixed bugs with ammo count, missing shot sounds and durability loss when interrupting reloads by running

  • Fixed animation of RPK holding with extended magazine

  • Fixed a bug that caused carpets to block placement of objects

  • Fixed localization issues across multiple languages

  • Improved server performance under high load conditions

  • Resolved duplicated squad notifications in the HUD

  • Fixed a bug where players were thrown off ladders when attempting to climb

  • Patched an exploit that allowed bunker doors to be blocked

  • Fixed an issue where code lock settings were not being saved properly

  • Fixed an issue where nicknames and the “Add to Squad” button would not appear when inviting players

  • Resolved unintended sliding while using emotes
